Last week twenty one brave Kindergarten students entered the inaugural Kindergarten Public Speaking Competition. The purpose of this event was to select a representative to compete in the Greater Southern Sydney Primary Schools Public Speaking Competition to be held later in the year. Teachers and parents alike were amazed at the quality of speeches presented by the children. All adults in the room were well entertained for an hour with topics ranging from 'Rainbows' to 'Astronauts'. Children spoke confidently and demonstrated their ability to present knowledge, ideas and opinions on their chosen topic. Every child who entered this contest was a winner because they availed themselves of an opportunity to extend their skills of public speaking. However, only one representative could be chosen and congratulations must be extended to Charlotte from KP as the winner. Taylah, Ava and Brayden were highly commended. These children earned well deserved recognition at our whole school assembly.
