Starting Kindergarten in 2025

It is time for parents to begin the process of preparing pre-school children for their journey through to primary school.

Starting school

Your child can start Kindergarten at the beginning of the school year if they turn five on, or before, 31 July of that year. By law, all children must be enrolled by their sixth birthday. When to start school is an individual decision. You may want to discuss this with us or with your child's preschool teacher, carer or doctor.

We are pleased to advise all current and prospective parents that we are now accepting enrolments for children who will commence Kindergarten in 2025. Please contact our school office staff for further details of the enrolment process.

How To Enrol

Apply online. If you are an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident you are eligible to complete the online enrolment application. You will then need to finalise the application at the school.

If you are not eligible or prefer not to enrol online, use the application to enrol (PDF 768.4KB) form. Please complete the form in English. A translated application to enrol may help you do this.

For more information, visit primary school enrolment.

Out-of-area enrolments

As outlined in the department’s enrolment policy, our school may accept enrolments from outside our local enrolment area if places are available.

We will assess applications for non-local enrolment on a case-by-case basis

Transition to school

What can I do to help the transition?

Starting school is a significant event in the life of children and their families. Strong relationships and information sharing between families, early childhood settings and schools help support a child's successful transition to school. Please visit Starting school for more information about helping your child transition to primary school.

School tours
